Sheridan Maine is pleased to be partnering with a well-established chartered accountancy practice based in Essex, who are seeking an Audit Manager to join their growing and ambitious team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced audit professional to take on a managerial role, leading audit engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring a team of audit staff.
Key responsibilities of the Audit Manager:
- Managing multiple audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Leading, coaching, and supervising audit teams, including semi-senior and junior staff.
- Reviewing and preparing high-quality financial statements and audit files.
- Liaising with clients to provide proactive guidance and resolve complex issues.
- Identifying audit risks, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and providing recommendations to clients.
- Supporting business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the practice.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in a similar audit manager role within a UK practice environment.
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- A proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
