Audit ManagerLocation: ChesterSalary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)Contract: Full-time, permanentReports to: Audit Partner / Senior ManagerRole OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Chester. The role will involve managing a varied portfolio of audit clients, overseeing audit engagements from planning through to completion, and leading and developing junior members of the audit team.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high technical and professional standards, managing client relationships, and supporting partners in the delivery of efficient and high-quality audit services.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of audit clients across a range of sectors, including owner-managed businesses and SMEsPlan, lead and review audit engagements, ensuring delivery to agreed deadlines and budgetsAct as the main point of contact for audit clients, building and maintaining strong working relationshipsReview audit files and ensure compliance with auditing standards and internal proceduresIdentify audit and accounting issues and provide practical, commercial solutionsSupervise, mentor and train audit seniors and junior staff, including performance reviewsLiaise with partners on client matters, workflow, and resourcing requirementsAssist with proposals, fee negotiations and business development where appropriateKeep up to date with changes in auditing and accounting ..... full job details .....
