Audit Manager

Red Snapper Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Audit Manager to work on a full-time contract with MOPAC (Mayors Office for Policing and Crime). This is a hybrid working role, with requirements to travel to offices and client sites in London and elsewhere. The role is paying 37.79p per hour (PAYE). It''s a six-month temporary contract initially, with the potential for extension. Role Overview We are recruiting for a new Audit Manager position as part of a wider organisational restructure. The role will support Group Audit Leads and manage audits across multiple public sector clients, including MOPAC, GLA, Met Police, and LFB. This is a hands-on management role requiring strong internal audit expertise and the ability to lead small teams while delivering complex audits. Key ResponsibilitiesManage and deliver client audit plans.Lead small teams (typically 2-3 auditors) and provide guidance.Undertake complex audits personally, alongside management duties.Build and maintain strong client relationships across diverse public sector organisations.Ensure compliance with governance standards and adapt to changing organisational needs.Essential RequirementsInternal Audit Experience: Proven track record in internal audit within large, complex organisations.Chartered status via the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) orRecognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA).Public Sector Experience: Mandatory, ideally with exposure to transformation audits.Management ..... full job details .....
