Audit Manager

Monday to Friday | 9:00am – 5:00pm
KPI Recruiting are working in partnership with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Audit Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with extensive audit experience to join a supportive and ambitious business, managing a varied client portfolio while leading audit teams and supporting the continued growth of the department.
The successful candidate will oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion, build strong client relationships and mentor junior team members while ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key ResponsibilitiesAudit & Client Management- Lead and oversee multiple audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring deadlines, budgets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout audit engagements.
- Review audit files, ensuring compliance with current auditing and accounting standards.
- Identify audit risks and provide practical solutions.
- Manage engagement budgets, monitor progress and address any variances.
- Oversee billing and resource allocation to ensure engagements remain within budget.
- Manage, mentor and develop Audit Managers, Seniors and junior team members.
- Review work completed by the audit team, providing constructive feedback and technical guidance.
- Support recruitment, performance management and staff development.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Work closely with Directors to ensure the successful delivery of audit engagements.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal processes.
- Complete administrative and ad hoc duties as required.
- Contribute to the successful delivery of departmental objectives.
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Significant experience within an accountancy practice in an Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager role.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards, including FRS and IFRS.
- Excellent understanding of audit quality, compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience managing multiple audit engagements and deadlines.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience using CCH and/or Inflo audit software.
