Audit and Accounts Trainee

Salary: £25,000 – £27,000
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent – Office Based

Are you looking to develop your career in accountancy practice while gaining experience in both accounts and audit?

I'm working with a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants in Cardiff that is looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Trainee to join their team. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 1 year's UK accountancy practice experience who is keen to continue learning and progress towards an ACA or ACCA qualification.

The Role:

• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients

• Supporting audit assignments both in the office and at client premises

• Preparing bookkeeping records and VAT returns

• Assisting with management accounts

• Building relationships with clients and responding to day-to-day queries

• Using cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks

• Studying towards ACA or ACCA with full study support provided

About You:

• At least 1 year's experience within a UK accountancy practice

• AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACA or ACCA, or looking to begin your studies

• A genuine interest in developing a career in both accounts and audit

• Good communication and organisational skills

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Experience with Xero, QuickBooks or similar software would be an advantage
