Attendance Officer

Teachwise is currently looking for an experienced school attendance officer to work at a local secondary academy within the Rochdale-area.

The role is due to begin in September and will continue on a full-time, long-term basis until the summer.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Help to design, implement and review strategies to improve attendance.
• Re-engage pupils with education, and provide effective support to families facing barriers to regular school attendance.
• This will include maintaining accurate attendance records, identifying and reporting concerns, and working collaboratively with pupils, families, school staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Be ambitious and strive to continually make improvements to systems and processes.
• Have an enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
