      <description>Location: Liverpool | Salary: 10000-500000 Annual | Type: Permanent | Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Attendance Officer interested in securing a role within a secondary school. Your role will be to monitor student attendance, investigate unexplained absences, and work with families to overcome barriers that may stop students going to school. Attendance Officer  Location - Liverpool Type of work - Temporary, long term Start date - September 2026 Days - Full time Hours - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm  Responsibilities:  Manage the electronic registration system to track late arrivals and following up on missing data with teaching staff. Produce attendance reports to help the Safeguarding Team, Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Heads of Year, and the Local Authority identify trends of absence. Maintain accurate, up-to-date records. Make initial enquiries with parents or carers regarding unexplained absences and punctuality concerns. Conduct visits to families'' homes to assess the root causes impacting a student''s ability to attend.
