Attendance Officer (Traded Support) Pay Rate: Up to £17.85 PAYE (dependant on experience)Working Structure : 30 hours across 4 daysHybrid Arrangements: Remote working with home/school visitsTerm Time only - March 31st, 2027 with potential extensionCar Essential with Business Insurance2 Professional referencesThis is an exciting opportunity, to join the School Attendance Support Service.The School Attendance Support Service works with schools in Walsall to monitor and enforce regular attendance. We work closely with families and schools to understand and address the reasons for absences and develop strategies for improving attendance.We are looking for motivated, dynamic and ambitious Attendance Officers, someone that has strong organisational and communication skills as well as being a good team player. Successful applicants will support, to work with schools and families, to ensure that children are receiving an education and achieving their potential.As part of the attendance team, applicants will need to have experience within an educational setting and have experience with supporting attendance.Applicants will be expected to work independently, within a statutory framework and a graduated system with a restorative approach. Successful applicants will work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce levels of absence.
