Attendance Officer

A well-respected secondary school in West Bromwich is seeking a reliable and proactive Attendance Officer to join their pastoral team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily student attendance and follow up on unexplained absences
• Contact parents and carers via phone, text or email to promote good attendance
• Collaborate with form tutors, heads of year, and safeguarding leads
• Maintain accurate records using the school''s MIS system (Arbor)
• Support the development of attendance improvement strategies

Requirements:

• Prior experience using Arbor is desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• An eye for detail and the ability to manage sensitive information
• A calm, professional and empathetic approach
• Prior experience working in a school
