Overview
ASW Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) WCR 3 MAXWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate AMHP to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to mental health service provision, ensuring high-quality assessments and interventions are delivered to individuals experiencing mental health crises. You will coordinate care, conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, and engage with social services, health care providers, and families. You will be pivotal in decision-making regarding appropriate care and treatment options, upholding service users\'' rights and preferences. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans and facilitate safe and supportive environments. You will also provide training and supervision for junior staff, sharing your expertise to foster a collaborative and informed team. We are committed to continuous improvement and to contributing to the development of mental health services in our community.
Responsibilities
Conduct mental health assessments and evaluations for individuals in crisis.
Develop and implement care plans based on individual needs and circumstances.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services.
Provide telephone triage support for incoming mental health referrals.
Ensure compliance with mental health legislation and best practice guidelines.
Offer support and guidance to families and social networks of service users.
Supervise and mentor junior staff in their mental health practice.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments and care provided.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current ASW-AMHP approval.
Postgraduate qualification in mental health or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in mental health assessment and crisis intervention.
Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and policies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with service users and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development and learning.

Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £29.21
Location: Westminster, South West London
