Associate Urban Designer

Associate Urban Designer role based in Manchester, focusing on UK urban regeneration and masterplanning projects. You will lead complex town centre and mixed-use developments from concept through planning stages. This position suits an experienced designer with strong regeneration expertise and leadership capability. The role supports delivery of large-scale schemes within the UK planning system, offering hybrid working with regular studio collaboration.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead urban design projects from concept to planning
• Manage programmes and project delivery requirements
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams effectively
• Develop design proposals for regeneration schemes
• Engage with clients, stakeholders, and consultants

You will also support bids, contribute to business development, and mentor junior team members. The role involves producing high-quality design outputs using industry standard tools.

Skills & Experience Required

• At least 5 years UK urban design experience
• Strong masterplanning and regeneration background
• Experience leading projects through planning stages
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, 3D software
• Knowledge of UK planning policy and processes

A relevant qualification in urban design, architecture, landscape architecture, or planning is required. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are essential.

Salary & Benefits

• -55,000 - -70,000 depending on experience
