Associate Transport Planner in Birmingham
The role
You will have the opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of complex projects, managing multiple schemes simultaneously and playing a key role in delivering high-quality transport planning solutions. Your work will span the full development lifecycle, from site identification and acquisition through to planning application submissions, discharge of conditions and ongoing support throughout the planning process.
You will be responsible for preparing a range of technical documents, including Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and supporting reports such as Delivery and Servicing Management Plans, helping clients bring ambitious developments to life.
Working as part of a collaborative and highly regarded team, you will have the opportunity to lead projects and provide market-leading consultancy advice to clients and fellow consultants. You will be confident communicating technical information to decision makers, stakeholders and members of the public, while also developing your own project management and business development capabilities.

The salary for the role is £65,000 - £75,000 per year depending on experience.

About You
You will be an experienced Transport Planner who enjoys building relationships, delivering technical excellence and contributing to the growth of a successful team. Ideally, you will possess:
·A degree in a relevant discipline.
·Strong knowledge of national, regional and local transport policy.
·A sound understanding of the legislation, regulations and guidance surrounding sustainable transport solutions.
·Experience using transport and traffic modelling software and associated analytical techniques.
·Proven project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
·Experience undertaking consultations and presenting technical proposals to a broad range of stakeholders.
·Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach.
·A track record of developing business opportunities and winning work.
·The ability to mentor and support colleagues while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
