You should be able to establish excellent rapport within teams, manage pressure, handle varied workloads, meet deadlines, and maintain high technical standards.Primary ObjectivesDesign, manage, and supervise projects as assigned by your Group Leader. Lead design teams when required, coordinate with other disciplines, and ensure detailed designs meet industry standards. Prepare specifications, reports, drawings, and manage budgets and schedules. Oversee on-site work and testing.ResponsibilitiesDefine project scope, technical requirements, and deliverables with your Group Leader.Coordinate with your Group Leader on service levels, project duties, and fee structures.Assist in monitoring resource requirements for projects under your control.Carry out engineering design from concept to detailed design, tendering, and site supervision, ensuring deadlines are met.Collaborate with the design team for coordinated, compliant designs of consistent quality.Monitor project progress, variations, and budgets.Manage contract staff or third-party appointments.Maintain strong client and team relationships to foster satisfaction and repeat business.Identify and pursue new business opportunities.Coordinate with other disciplines when acting as design team leader.Support your professional development and help improve company practices.Implement QA systems and ensure designs comply with health and safety regulations, including CDM.Preferred QualificationsExcellent communication and presentation skills.Minimum 5 years of industry experience in project design and management.Experience with contract monitoring is desirable.Proficiency in computer modeling, CAD, and effective communication with consultants.Ability to manage ongoing projects with limited supervision.Experience in similar roles is preferred.Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Degree or equivalent qualification preferred.Knowledge of project and design analysis software.Required QualificationsBachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Strong background in designing water distribution systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and hydraulic modeling software.Experience in project engineering and management.Commitment to our employee-owned culture.What We BelieveWe build on diverse experiences to make great things happen, fostering a collaborative culture and trust with clients and communities.Our CommitmentWe promote an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and empowered.
