Associate Partner - Planning

Position SummaryA key role within a planning consultancy team, supporting a Partner by managing planning projects, client relationships, and junior staff, while contributing to business development.Core ResponsibilitiesLead and manage planning projects from initiation to completion.Prepare project plans, fee agreements, and ensure outputs meet QA standards.Handle invoicing, WIP (Work in Progress), and debt management.Represent clients at public consultations or meetings.Produce professional-grade planning reports.Oversee and mentor junior staff; manage timesheets, holidays, and training.Support the Partner in client and business development activities.Maintain RTPI Chartered status and engage in CPD.Key Skills and RequirementsChartered Membership of the RTPI (essential).Strong planning expertise and professional report writing.Proven project management and business development success.Excellent interpersonal and client management skills.Team leadership and performance management capability.BenefitsStakeholder pension and permanent health insurance.Death in service cover.50% gym contribution.33 days holiday (incl. birthday and wellbeing day).MediCash healthcare scheme.Flexible working options.
