Build the world you want to live in with a career in the infrastructure consenting team at Carter Jonas.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Partner with experience of Planning Act 2008 procedures to join Carter Jonas’ Infrastructure Consenting team.You would be based out of our either our London, Birmingham or Leeds offices. We offer flexible working arrangements and encourage our team to balance quality time in our office hubs with working from home (a minimum requirement of presence in the office will apply).Our experienced and fast-growing team is already delivering on Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) across various project sectors including rail, mass transit, road, power generation and transmission. We have a strong and growing forward workload of projects which provides an opportunity to be developed and places Carter Jonas at the forefront of progressing some of the largest new infrastructure projects in the UK, alongside major infrastructure upgrades being delivered by Great British Energy and Great British Railways.The Consents team has a proven track record of advising on a huge range of infrastructure projects across a wide spectrum of consent regimes including, but not limited to, DCOs, TWAOs, Section 36 projects and TCPA projects. A willingness and ability to travel throughout the UK is an advantage, but flexibility and ensuring a healthy work/life balance is one of the key ambitions for Carter Jonas as a business. Your day-to-day role will comprise the delivery of excellent technical, fee-earning work for our clients alongside our land teams and project managers. You will also become involved in business promotion - for example networking events, working with our professional partners to run seminars, publish thought-pieces, legislation and technical updates to the market etc. You will take responsibility for the management and delivery of projects, including program and budgeting autonomy, with the support of your colleagues and the senior management team and Partners.
Lead and deliver infrastructure consenting work with NSIP experience, including Planning Act 2008 procedures, DCOs, TWAOs, Section 36, TCPA projects.
Develop and manage client relationships with major clients such as Network Rail, National Highways, National Grid and renewable energy clients and investment companies.
Contribute to business development, marketing initiatives, seminars, thought-pieces and market updates in collaboration with marketing and business development teams.
Take responsibility for project management, program delivery, budgeting autonomy, and coordination with land teams and project managers.
Travel throughout the UK as required; embrace flexible/agile working arrangements.

Qualifications
