OverviewRole: Associate Landscape Architect

Location: Remote

Salary: £DOE

Lead Careers are working with a multidisciplinary consultancy in Liverpool who is seeking a skilled Associate Landscape Architect with expertise in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA) to join their growing team on a 100% remote working basis. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from large-scale infrastructure developments to smaller environmental schemes, contributing to the delivery of sustainable, high-quality landscape designs that balance development needs with environmental and visual sensitivity.

Responsibilities

Lead and contribute to the preparation of Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIAs)

Develop detailed landscape designs and proposals

Conduct site surveys, landscape character assessments, and visual impact analysis to inform design decisions and LVIA reporting

Produce high-quality technical reports, visualisations, and supporting documents for planning applications and consultations

Advise clients and project teams on the landscape and visual implications of developments, providing expert guidance on mitigation strategies

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planners, ecologists, and engineers

Client liaison

Assist in business development activities

Key Skills and Qualifications

A degree in Landscape Architecture

Extensive experience in delivering Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA)

Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (CMLI), or working towards chartership

Proven experience in managing and preparing LVIAs across various sectors

Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and GIS, as well as experience with visualisation tools such as SketchUp or Revit

Excellent report-writing skills

Strong project management skills

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

A comprehensive understanding of UK planning processes and environmental legislation

A full UK driving licence
