The role is a hybrid one across the Healthcare and Large Loss teams. You will handle a varied caseload of defender pre-litigated and litigated healthcare and large loss cases for insurers and corporate risk clients. It is essential that applicants have experience of appearing in the Sheriff court and as instructing agent in the Court of Session. It is also essential that applicants will have experience in dealing with either clinical negligence and/ or large loss claims. Key Responsibilities Running own case load of pre and post-litigation clinical negligence and large loss claims. Preparing advice to insurers and other corporate clients. Adhering to court deadlines and managing files in accordance with client SLA''s. Forensic review and analysis of relevant documents assessing liability, quantum and causation in claims.
