Associate Infrastructure Engineer

Buro Happold is seeking an Associate Civil Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Group in London.Working as part of the UK Infrastructure Group, you will provide solutions to local infrastructure and utility needs, and plan entire cities globally. Wherever your career takes you with Buro Happold, it will be anything but ordinary.Your next role:Be part of an exceptional team tackling technically demanding projects and challenges.Be at the forefront of industry changes such as reducing embodied carbon and adopting modern infrastructure design methods.Key Duties:Manage the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, review civil infrastructure designs from proposal to construction, and plan project resources and finances.Manage technical staff, plan team workload, mentor staff, and develop junior team members.Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, and schedules.Contribute to work winning efforts to secure new projects for the group.Your Skills and Experience:Strong technical background in infrastructure design with experience in leading a core infrastructure discipline (Highways, Utilities, or Sustainable Drainage).Experience in delivering successful international multidisciplinary projects, with excellent team management, communication, and presentation skills.Willingness to travel and a commitment to continuous quality improvement.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and MicroDrainage.Membership in a relevant professional institution.What we offer:25 days of holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays.Hybrid working arrangements.Company pension scheme.Life assurance and income protection.Flexible benefits including cycle schemes, dental and optical insurance, travel insurance, and corporate discounts.Early finish at 3 pm on the last Friday of each month, potentially adding up to 4 days of extra leave annually.A place for everyone:We value flexible working patterns and welcome applications from those seeking flexibility.
