A leading engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Geotechnical Director to join its growing Central London team. This is a senior role for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to take on greater responsibility across project delivery, client management and team leadership.

The role will involve working across a varied portfolio of projects, providing geotechnical advice from feasibility and investigation through to design and construction.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception through to completion.
• Provide technical input and oversight across a range of ground engineering projects.
• Manage and develop client relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting business growth.
• Review and oversee geotechnical reports, specifications, designs and technical deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior members of the team.
• Support project bids, fee proposals and business development activities.
• Work closely with engineers, contractors and other consultants to deliver practical solutions.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, programmes and overall delivery.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant experience within geotechnical engineering consultancy.
• A strong technical background across ground investigation, design and assessment.
• Experience managing projects and client relationships.
• Previous experience mentoring or managing engineers.
• Strong communication and commercial skills.
• Chartered status with ICE or a similar professional institution, or be working towards it.
