Associate, Domain Expert - Eastern Europe at Dataminr. This role is open as remote (United Kingdom or Ireland) or hybrid, and requires the ability to work core hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm UK GMT/BST. Weekend rotational work and projects/meetings outside of business hours are required.Responsibilities

Serve as an expert on Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Russian geopolitical developments and the relevant data sources associated with the region to improve our AI modelsMonitor and analyse the quality of our data feedsAnnotate and label complex real-time eventsOwn and develop projects to improve our AI models’ performance in the real-time event detection spaceMake real-time decisions with incomplete dataWork with multiple stakeholders across all offices to support region-specific trainingCollaborate and communicate about daily priorities in a team-centric environmentWhat You Bring (Qualifications)

Bachelor’s degree required; ideally with a concentration in: Political science, Russian language studies, Eastern Europe studies, security/conflict studies, or a closely related field strongly preferredAbility to monitor and analyze data with strong online research skills in Russian and English; Ukrainian, Belarusian, or Slavic languages a plusAn understanding of geopolitical risk and world eventsPassion for breaking news, current world events, technology, and a great understanding of both social media and publicly-available dataAbility to interpret and succinctly describe ongoing, complex events with incomplete dataEnthusiastic approach to innovation and strategic thinkingIdeally, previous experience of working in a real-time information environmentAbout Dataminr

Dataminr’s Domain Experts are an essential component of our company’s success — ensuring the alerts we send to our clients are of the best possible quality and making Dataminr’s AI platform more advanced. As a Domain Expert, you will examine and analyze our data feeds and annotate, label and edit signals in real time. You will be an integral part of our algorithm training process and our advanced real-time human-AI feedback loop that integrates key knowledge domains into our AI models. You will also play a key role in defining new factors to improve our alerts, data source coverage, machine learning and AI models.This role is open as remote (United Kingdom or Ireland) or hybrid, and requires the ability to work core hours of 7:00am - 3:00pm UK GMT/BST.
