Please visit our website: www.turnerandtownsend.comJob Description We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced SHQ Associate Director with a strong track record in delivering HandS consultancy/Principal Designer/CDM advisory across a broad range of projects and programme based out of our London offices in St Paul’s.You will be responsible for delivering SHQ consultancy services to existing and new clients, contributing to the income generation activities of the business unit.You will have a good track record in contributing to business development, be able to work on your own initiative and be comfortable working in, as well as leading teams.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding competent advice, guidance, and support on various construction and design health and safety matters to colleagues and clientsEnsuring exemplary standards of the Principal Designer role on experience-capable sites, coordinating design team meetings, assisting clients in developing HandS arrangements/Project Briefs, and conducting workshops/seminars on client dutiesAdvising clients on CDM Regulations and relevant HandS requirements for construction projectsConducting site inspections across various health and safety aspects, assessing performance, and identifying compliance actionsAuditing client supply chains to ensure compliance with Principal Contractor and/or Principal Designer dutiesAuditing client management systems to ensure adherence to CDM 2015 and effective design and construction management processesDeveloping and nurturing industry relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partnersDelivering health and safety training sessions to clients, project teams, and internal audiencesConducting HandS audits of client and supply chain safety management systems, including evidence of successful implementationAssisting in developing further HandS or CDM opportunities through technical articles, speaking engagements, and bid supportQualifications
QualificationsA degree or Masters in HandS, Environmental or Engineering environmentHolds or is working towards Chartered Member of the Institute of Safety and Health (CMIOSH)Multi-sector construction experienceRelevant construction industry safety, quality or technical membership e.g APS, IOB, CQIExcellent programme and project management skillsAbility to work in partnership with clients (and/or stakeholders), continually delivering high levels of satisfaction, provide effective solutions and resolve issuesHave a strong commercial awareness and be able to identify and pursue business opportunitiesAdditional Information Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
