A well-established planning consultancy is seeking an ambitious Associate Director to join its Manchester office.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take a senior role within the planning team, managing complex projects, advising clients and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Leading complex planning projects from inception through to completion.
• Providing high-quality strategic planning advice.
• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
• Preparing and reviewing planning applications and supporting documentation.
• Liaising with local authorities, consultants and stakeholders.
• Managing project teams and mentoring junior planners.
• Contributing to business development and identifying new opportunities.
• Supporting the wider team with strategic planning matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Town Planning or a related subject.
• Significant experience within a UK planning consultancy or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of planning policy and legislation.
• Excellent project and client management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• MRTPI qualification is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior colleagues.
