Associate Director - Building Control

The Opportunity Acivico Building Consultancy is seeking an experienced Building Control leader to head its Community Team, delivering building control services across Birmingham. Acivico Group is a purpose-led, multi-disciplinary organisation based in Birmingham, providing services across the built environment, including design and construction, building control and facilities management. Since 2012, its vision has been to promote public wellbeing and sustainable development through its approach. Acivico Building Consultancy provides Building Control services for Birmingham City Council, the largest local authority in the country, while also working with major retail and commercial clients through Acivico''s Registered Building Control Approver service. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately Registered Building Inspectors, overseeing domestic, residential and smaller commercial projects. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on supervision, technical review and sign-off, ensuring work progresses efficiently while maintaining high professional and regulatory standards. The role also provides wider senior leadership exposure, including deputising for the Director of Building Consultancy and covering for the Associate Director responsible for Major Projects when required.
