Associate Corporate Counsel, Amazon Web ServicesAmazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) in selling to customers throughout the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. AWS provides IT infrastructure services, such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, and more to private and public sector customers.
Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate a range of IT service agreements and other high-value agreements with AWS’s enterprise customers and partners.
Lead regional and global initiatives to address emerging regulatory and policy issues and to support AWS’s business growth.
Provide day-to-day advice to Sales, Public Policy, and Security teams for senior executives and other business members; resolve queries in existing relationships; handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
Work with cross-functional teams and maintain pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations.
Qualifications
Qualified and admitted to practice law in the UK with at least 2+ PQE.
Transactional legal experience with at least 2 years.
Professional fluency in English, written and spoken.
Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills.
Proactive, fast learner, self-motivated, able to work independently with limited supervision, and able to exercise sound judgment in challenging and ambiguous situations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a leading law firm or technology company.
Familiarity with IT infrastructure, outsourcing, telecommunications, cloud computing, AI/ML, or consulting contracts.
Transactional experience.
