Overview
Associate Combat Systems Engineer at QinetiQ Target Systems - United Kingdom, Portsmouth site. 37 hours per week, hybrid working pattern available. Travel to other QinetiQ and customer sites will be expected.Role involves integration, test, evaluation and acceptance activities across the equipment lifecycle to support the development and delivery of operationally effective Combat System capability. You will work within the NCSISS (Naval Combat Systems Integration Support Service) team to deliver engineering outputs and associated customer communications.Responsibilities
Execute key systems engineering activities on significant projectsEngage with external and internal stakeholders to ensure customer and business needs are satisfied and issues are mitigatedDirect technical documentation in support of work carried outDeliver work and report progress to project leads and customersConduct sea trials on Royal Navy ships, including potential overseas activitiesDevelop test plans, conduct integration, and produce supporting evidence for customer useEssential Experience
Relevant experience in an aligned engineering fieldProven experience on Naval Combat Systems or Radar, Sonar, C2 or WeaponsExperience in Test and Evaluation or IntegrationEssential Qualifications
Honours Degree in Engineering, Physics or similar. HNC/D Level qualification acceptable with appropriate experienceAbout the Role and Location
