Associate Architect - Southern Practice building a Northern Office
Sector Focus: Education (primarily), with additional projects across cladding remediation, blue light, residential, commercial and healthcare.
The Opportunity:
We''re looking for an Associate or Senior Architect with strong delivery and client experience to join a well-established, nationally active practice. This is a pivotal, career-defining role as the first hire in the new Greater Manchester office. The immediate focus is project delivery, but this is also a unique opportunity to help shape and grow the Northern office, with long-term leadership potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and deliver architectural projects (RIBA Stages 4-6) from inception to completion.
- Manage and mentor project teams, providing guidance and development opportunities.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to job-winning opportunities.
- Take a leading role in establishing the Manchester office, influencing its structure, culture and growth.
- Prepare designs, reports, and technical documentation, ensuring quality, budget and programme objectives are met.
Requirements:
- Registered Architect (ARB) with 8+ years post-registration experience.
- Proven experience delivering complex projects to a high standard.
- Strong client-facing skills and ability to contribute to business development.
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Education sector experience.
- Strong verbal and visual communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to projects nationally and support Northern office development.
