Assistant - Visual Impairment Support Location: Barking Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 16:30 (Full-time, on-site in Barking) Pay: 15.00 per hour Contract: Initially 3 months (with funding secured for up to 3 years)About the RoleWe''re seeking a compassionate and proactive Assistant to provide dedicated support to a visually impaired colleague within our client''s Customer Service team.Working closely with the employee, you will provide practical, day-to-day support to enable them to successfully carry out their role handling public enquiries relating to waste, education, housing, council tax, electoral enquiries, and more. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 support to enable effective completion of daily tasksAssist with navigation of websites, systems, and digital platformsSupport with saving documents and managing filesCarry out data protection checks to ensure service users are correctly identifiedCommunicate clearly and effectively at all timesFollow instructions and adapt support based on individual needsAssist with developing skills (upskilling) where requiredDemonstrate patience, understanding, and active listeningSystems and TrainingFull training will be provided on internal systems, such as:FreshDeskOpenHousingPayment and telephony systemsYou will be expected to confidently support the use of:Microsoft TeamsWord, Excel, OutlookSharePoint and OneDriveCandidate ProfileWe are looking for someone who:Is IT literate and confident navigating multiple systemsHas strong ..... full job details .....
