We''re recruiting an Assistant Underwriter to join the Renewal Connect team of a well-established specialist insurer in Leeds. You''ll manage a portfolio of commercial renewals, work closely with brokers and develop your technical skills across a varied range of risks, including professional and management risks, charities, and social welfare organisations. It''s a busy role with real underwriting responsibility and support from experienced colleagues. The role Underwrite renewals and mid-term adjustments within your authority. Review risks, negotiate terms and help retain profitable business. Build strong relationships with brokers and provide a responsive service. Manage your workflow to meet renewal deadlines and service standards. Work with technical underwriting teams on more complex cases. Identify opportunities to broaden cover for existing clients. Skills and experience Commercial insurance experience, with at least six months in underwriting or a closely related role. Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to handle competing priorities. Clear communication and the confidence to build relationships with brokers and colleagues. Good attention to detail and a commitment to delivering a responsive service. Confidence using Microsoft Office and learning new systems. Experience with ..... full job details .....
