Assistant Technical Services Manager

An Assistant Technical Services Manager (Mechanical) is required in the West Midlands to support mechanical maintenance across a complex healthcare estate, helping keep buildings, plant and engineering services safe, compliant and operational. Working within a multidisciplinary hard services team, you''ll combine maintenance planning with team and contractor management while developing towards Authorised Person responsibilities across relevant mechanical disciplines. The Role As the Assistant Technical Services Manager, you''ll: Plan preventative maintenance for buildings, plant and equipment using Maximo. Deputise for the Technical Services Manager and support day-to-day service delivery. Manage staff and contractors, monitoring response times and the quality of completed works. Support budget control, supplier negotiations and cost-effective maintenance delivery. Review contractor RAMS and inspect working practices, quality and safety. Work towards Authorised Person status across relevant mechanical disciplines, including pressure systems and ventilation. About You To be successful as the Assistant Technical Services Manager, you''ll have: A City and Guilds or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline. Strong knowledge of technical estates, building maintenance and facilities management services. The ability to manage people, delegate effectively and work on your own initiative.
