About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Technical Manager to support the Technical Manager in ensuring compliance with customer, legal, and regulatory standards within a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deputise for the Technical Manager when required
• Support and improve technical systems and processes
• Ensure HACCP-based standards are followed across the site
• Monitor technical KPIs and support continuous improvement
• Manage customer specifications and retailer portals
• Oversee services such as laboratory testing, hygiene, and pest control
• Produce reports, manage data, and handle customer queries/complaints
• Support and lead audits and customer visits where appropriate
• Liaise with the Food Standards Agency
• Assist with CAPA processes

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a technical role within an FMCG environment (essential)
• Knowledge of HACCP and BRCGS standards
• Understanding of retailer codes of practice
• Strong IT and organisational skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
