About the Role As Assistant Team Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring children and carers receive the best possible service. Working closely with Placement Officers, Supervising Social Workers, colleagues across Children s Services, and partners in commissioning and independent provider teams, you will help oversee: Accommodation searches Linking and matching activities Decision-making that prioritises children s needs, safety, and wellbeing You will also support the Team Manager by providing day-to-day leadership, advice, and professional guidance. This includes supervising staff, contributing to service development, and deputising for the Team Manager when required. The role may involve some unsociable hours, and a flexible approach is essential to meet the needs of children and carers.
