Assistant Sommelier

A Michelin-starred restaurant within a luxury countryside hotel is seeking an Assistant Sommelier to join its team. The restaurant is known for refined seasonal cuisine and high levels of service. It operates evening service alongside private dining, events, weddings, and exclusive functions throughout the year. As Assistant Sommelier you will:Support the Head Sommelier during daily serviceDeliver high-level wine service in a fine dining settingAssist with cellar management and stock controlSupport wine tastings and wine list updatesDeputise for the Head Sommelier when requiredWe are looking for an Assistant Sommelier with:Experience in a Commis or Junior Sommelier roleFine dining experience preferredStrong wine knowledgeWSET Level 1 or 2Good cellar management knowledgeUnderstanding of licensing laws and weights and measuresPersonal Licence desirablePassion for hospitality and learningMust hold the full right to work in the UKIn return, you will receive a starting salary of £27,350 plus a monthly paid service charge, and a salary review after probation.
