About the Project

My client are seeking a proactive and reliable Freelance Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a high-end residential refurbishment project. The project involves the full renovation of an existing building, including structural alterations, internal reconfigurations, and premium finishes across 80 apartments. 

You will be working alongside the Senior Site Manager and project team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, effective coordination of trades, and adherence to programme, quality, and health & safety standards.

There will also be an opportunity for weekend work. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing daily site activities and ensuring the project progresses to schedule

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries

• Monitor site H&S compliance and maintain a clean and safe working environment

• Report progress, issues, and updates to the Site Manager and project stakeholders

• Carry out snagging and quality inspections

• Maintain accurate site records and documentation

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role on residential refurbishments

• Good working knowledge of construction methods and building regulations

• Strong organisational and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site

• Valid CSCS card (required)

• SMSTS 

• First Aid
