Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of a new build police station alongside a car park in Wellingborough.

This is a great opportunity to work on a public sector project, supporting the Site Manager to ensure the project is delivered safely, on programme, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day running of the site

• Supervise subcontractors and ensure works are completed to programme

• Maintain high health & safety standards across site

• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings

• Monitor quality and carry out snagging inspections

• Ensure RAMS, permits, and site documentation are completed and followed

• Liaise with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and client representatives

• Support coordination of trades, materials, and site logistics

Requirements

• SMSTS 

• CSCS Card 

• First Aid at Work 

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager

• Experience working on public sector projects (e.g., police station, fire station, hospitals)

• Experience delivering flat car park projects (essential)

• Strong knowledge of health & safety and site compliance

• Good organisational and communication skills
