Assistant Quantity Surveyor Plymouth Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of works, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company on a permanent basis. The business operates across a range of sectors including Education, Commercial, Industrial, and Heritage. This role will be primarily office-based, with regular site visits and client meetings in the surrounding areas. It is ideally suited to a recent graduate or someone nearing completion of a Quantity Surveying degree, as well as individuals looking to take the next step in their career within the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain valuable experience and develop within a supportive and established team. Key Responsibilities: Assist the commercial team in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentationUndertake quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities (BOQs)Support the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials in line with project specifications and budgetsMonitor and track project costs, including variations, change orders, and progress paymentsCollaborate with the project team to review and negotiate subcontractor and supplier agreementsAssist with the valuation of works and certification of subcontractor payments in line with contractual termsAttend site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance, identifying potential issues where ..... full job details .....
