Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Hygrove Partners are recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor on behalf of one of the fastest-growing, most modern and exciting construction firms in the UK, working on new build and social housing projects across the West Midlands.

The Role:

Supporting or leading the commercial management of new build and social housing projects from pre-contract through to final account. The position is open to experienced Assistant QSs looking to step up as well as established Quantity Surveyors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing cost estimates, budgets, valuations and applications for payment
• Managing subcontractor orders, accounts, variations and final accounts
• Cost reporting and monitoring project spend against budget
• Liaising with housing association clients and developers on commercial matters
• Supporting procurement, tendering and contract administration

What We're Looking For:

• QS experience within new build residential, social housing or retrofit
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or working towards (preferred)
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Valid CSCS card and own transport

What's on Offer:

• £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience
• Clear progression within a fast-expanding business
