An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction business based in Birmingham.The role would suit an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their commercial experience within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, working alongside experienced commercial professionals across a range of construction projects.This is a particularly attractive opportunity for someone looking for genuine flexibility, with the position offering 4 days working from home and just 1 day per week in the Birmingham office of on site.The RoleAs an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team across the full project lifecycle, gaining exposure to pre-contract and post-contract commercial activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupporting the Quantity Surveyor with the commercial management of construction projectsAssisting with cost planning, budgets and financial reportingPreparing and reviewing valuations, applications for payment and payment noticesAssisting with subcontractor procurement and tender analysisObtaining and analysing quotations from subcontractors and suppliersSupporting the preparation and assessment of variationsAssisting with cost reporting and forecastingMonitoring project costs against budgetsSupporting the preparation of monthly commercial reportsAssisting with subcontractor accounts and final accountsMaintaining accurate commercial records and project documentationWorking closely with ..... full job details .....
