Your new companyYou will be joining an established design and build contractor based in Nottingham, with almost 40 years'' experience delivering high-quality construction projects across the Midlands.The business specialises in bespoke care home developments, alongside commercial and residential schemes, and has developed a strong reputation for quality, reliability and long-standing relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.Your new roleAs Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, supporting the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account.This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant QS looking to gain broad commercial exposure and progressively take ownership of subcontract packages and project responsibilities.Your responsibilities will include:Assisting with project budgets, cost plans and ongoing cost controlMeasuring and valuing works from drawings, specifications and site informationPreparing interim valuations and applications for paymentAssessing subcontractor applications and preparing payment certificatesSupporting subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, analysis and negotiationsAssisting with subcontract orders, variations and payment noticesIdentifying, recording and valuing ..... full job details .....
