Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor (MEP)

About the Role
 
We are actively seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with MEP experience to join our growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career working on high-value, technically complex projects across specialist sectors. You will support senior commercial staff in managing projects from pre-construction through to final account, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the commercial management of MEP packages across the project lifecycle
• Support cost planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Assist with procurement processes and subcontractor management
• Support valuations, variations, and change control procedures
• Assist with contract administration and risk management
• Work closely with project teams to support commercial performance
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders

Sectors

• Commercial Fit-Out

• Shell & Core Infrastructure
• Life Sciences

 
Candidate Requirements

• Experience in an Assistant QS role, ideally within MEP or building services
• Basic understanding of mechanical & electrical packages
• Exposure to commercial management processes within construction projects
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Eagerness to learn and develop within a commercial environment

Locations & Travel

• Majority of projects based in Central London
• Regional work based out of Cambridge
• Opportunities to gain exposure to European projects, including Norway, Amsterdam, and other regions (e.g. Austria, Finland)
