An established, award-winning main contractor with a strong UK and international reputation is seeking an Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join its growing London team.

Operating across high-quality commercial, residential, heritage and mixed-use sectors, this contractor is known for delivering technically complex and design-led projects in prime London locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Assistant or Graduate Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to prestigious projects while working within a highly experienced and supportive commercial team.

The Role

You will support the commercial delivery of commercial and residential schemes across London, assisting with cost control and contractual management from pre-construction through to final account.

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with procurement of subcontract packages

• Preparing and reviewing subcontract documentation

• Supporting valuations, variations and change control

• Assisting with CVRs and monthly commercial reporting

• Cost forecasting and budget tracking

• Supporting final accounts and financial close-out

• Attending site and client meetings

You will work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, gaining hands-on experience across all stages of the project lifecycle.

What We''re Looking For

• Degree qualified (or working towards) in Quantity Surveying or a construction-related discipline

• 0-3 years'' experience within a main contractor environment

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

• Good communication skills and confidence working with site and subcontract teams

• Ambition to progress towards full QS and beyond

This role would suit either:

• A Graduate QS looking for their first step into a leading main contractor

• An Assistant QS seeking greater project exposure and structured progression
