Role: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex
Salary: -30,000 to -45,000 + package

We''re working with a well-established residential developer with a strong pipeline of new build residential projects across the South East and they are looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a QS at the earlier stage of their career to gain hands on experience on interesting projects whilst working alongside an experienced and driven team.

Reporting into a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you''ll play a key part in the day to day commercial management of live sites across Kent, Surrey & Sussex, with some of your duties including:

• Assisting in the valuation of variations and change control
• Site measurements and record keeping
• Preparing and processing subcontractor payments
• Supporting with monthly cost reporting and forecasting
• Attending site meetings and liaising with operational teams

You''ll be joining a close-knit team with a hands-on approach to training and development - ideal for someone looking to progress towards Quantity Surveyor level in a supportive environment.

What We''re Looking For:

• 1-3 years'' experience in a commercial role within construction (developer or contractor)
• HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (or working towards)
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset
• A willingness to learn and get involved on site and in the office
• UK driving licence
