Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well-established, boutique property and construction consultancy is currently looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their central London team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual at the early stages of their QS career to gain hands-on experience across a diverse mix of high-end residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - The Role

The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support senior team members in delivering full pre- and post-contract services, with exposure to all project stages. The role provides the opportunity to develop key technical skills, take early responsibility, and work directly with clients and contractors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to grow their career in a supportive, fast-paced consultancy environment.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of cost plans, estimates, and tender documents
• Support cost reporting, valuations, and contract administration
• Contribute to procurement and tender analysis
• Help administer JCT contracts across multiple live projects
• Attend client meetings and support risk/change management processes
• Work closely with senior surveyors and project managers across key schemes

Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Requirements

• 1-3 years'' experience in a consultancy or client-side QS role
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field (RICS-accredited)
• Exposure to both pre- and post-contract duties
• Keen to pursue MRICS chartership
• Confident communicator with a proactive and detail-driven approach
• Interest in residential and commercial developments in London
