This client is one of the UK''s leading family-owned civil engineering contractors, delivering high-quality infrastructure and development projects across the region. With a strong reputation built on collaboration, safety, and excellence, we are now looking to strengthen our team with an Assistant Quantity Surveyor based in Kent.
The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in supporting the commercial team on a range of civil engineering projects. Working closely with senior surveyors and project managers, you will assist in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
·Assisting with the preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts.
·Supporting the monitoring and reporting of project costs and budgets.
·Assisting with the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials.
·Helping to ensure compliance with contractual and commercial obligations.
·Contributing to risk management and value engineering processes.
·Liaising with project teams, clients, and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
About You
·Working towards or recently completed a degree/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
·Previous experience within civil engineering or construction (placement or full-time) desirable.
·Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
·Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
·Proficient in Microsoft Office and ideally familiar with industry-standard software.
·Proactive, driven, and eager to develop your career in quantity surveying.
