Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: andpound;30,000 - andpound;35,000 per year

A client is seeking two experienced Quantity Surveyors to join their team in Wakefield. This role is crucial to ensuring the financial success of construction projects, working across all project stages-from pre-construction to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
£ Cost Estimation - Assess project drawings/specifications to calculate material, labour, and equipment costs.
£ Budget Management - Track and manage project budgets to ensure financial accuracy.
£ Procurement - Source and negotiate contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
£ Contract Administration - Assist with contracts, assess variations/claims, and ensure compliance.
£ Value Engineering - Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
£ Risk Management - Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks.
£ Cost Control - Implement measures to track and optimise spending.
£ Final Account Settlement - Ensure payments and accounts are finalised upon project completion.

Essential Requirements:
A proven track record in construction quantity surveying
Minimum 3 years of surveying experience
A valid CSCS Card
A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
A UK driving licence
Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with site teams, suppliers, and clients
