We are working in partnership with an award-winning regional contractor that has built an exceptional reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the West Midlands. With a strong pipeline of secured work and ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor.-

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to develop their career across a varied portfolio of projects, including education, public sector, commercial and refurbishment schemes.

Initially, you will be supporting the commercial delivery of a major project in Wolverhampton, while also gaining exposure to a diverse range of work across the business.

Role & Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management of construction projects from inception through to final account.

• Procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.

• Preparing and managing subcontract packages.

• Valuations, variations and cost reporting.

• Assisting with monthly CVRs and project forecasting.

• Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts.

• Supporting the commercial team with contractual administration.

• Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project teams.

Key Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.

• Previous experience within a contractor environment (placement year or post-graduate experience considered).

• Good commercial awareness and a willingness to learn.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Full UK driving licence.
