We are currently working with a leading UK maintenance and refurbishment contractor who are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Slough.The business specialises in social housing, planned maintenance, refurbishment and property improvement programmes, delivering projects for housing associations and public sector clients.This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to build their commercial experience within the social housing and maintenance sector, working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and gaining exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of live contracts.The RoleAs an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team across a portfolio of social housing and planned maintenance projects.You will gain hands-on experience across cost control, valuations, subcontractor management, procurement, variations and final accounts, while working closely with Quantity Surveyors and operational teams.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the commercial management of social housing and planned maintenance contracts.Support Quantity Surveyors with project budgets, cost control and forecasting.Assist with the preparation and submission of valuations and payment applications.Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks.Assist with the assessment and pricing of variations.Support subcontractor procurement and management.Review subcontractor applications and payments.Assist with the ..... full job details .....
