Assistant Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a well-established small main contractor based in Hertfordshire who deliver projects across the healthcare, residential and commercial sectors. Projects are upto £2 million. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial team on a range of live schemes.This is a traditional Assistant QS role, offering broad exposure across the full project lifecycle and the opportunity to work closely alongside a Senior Quantity Surveyor.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out re-measurementsSupporting subcontractor procurement and valuationsPreparing and assisting with interim valuationsProviding support with final accountsAssisting the Senior QS with general commercial dutiesGetting involved in estimating and pricing works as requiredAbout You:Previous experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor role (or strong Trainee QS looking to step up)Experience working for a main contractor preferredGood understanding of subcontract packages and valuation processesOrganised, commercially aware and keen to developComfortable working as part of a small, close-knit commercial teamWhat''s on Offer:Long-term opportunity with a stable and reputable contractorExposure to varied projects across multiple sectorsSupport and mentoring from an experienced Senior QSCompetitive salary and package, dependent on ..... full job details .....
