Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent, Full time, 8am-5pm - Monday to Friday Location: Ongar Salary: £35,000 per annum Company and Project:Our client, a well-known family run social housing contractor is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join them on a permanent basis.Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with cost management, budgeting, and financial reporting for planned maintenance, refurbishment, and responsive repairs.Prepare cost estimates, measure works, and review contractor quotations and payment applications.Monitor project expenditure, assess variations, and support final account settlements.Conduct site visits to verify completed works, quality, and contractor claims.Liaise with contractors, project managers, and housing teams to ensure value for money.Maintain accurate commercial records and support compliance with contractual, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
