Assistant Project Manager - HighwaysLocation: New Shire Hall, Alconbury (Hybrid 2 days in office)Contract: 6 12 monthsRate: 300 per day (Umbrella) Requirement: Must be a driver with access to a vehicleThe OpportunityWe are currently partnering with a high profile public sector organisation to recruit an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of key highways and transport programmes.This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team working on essential capital maintenance projects, contributing to the upkeep and improvement of critical infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver low to medium complexity highway maintenance projects from initiation through to completionManage the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and quality standardsCoordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and design teamsAttend site visits and monitor project progressEnsure compliance with relevant highway and public sector standardsEssential RequirementsMinimum 5 years'' experience in a similar role within Highways and Transport, ideally in a public sector settingProven track record delivering capital maintenance projectsStrong understanding of the project lifecycle for highway maintenance schemesAbility to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholdersFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visitsDesirable Skills and ExperienceExperience in both project management and design within highway maintenance deliveryKnowledge of public ..... full job details .....
