We are supporting a well-established, family-owned business that is seeking a process-driven Assistant Project Manager with a strong mechanical engineering background and a genuine desire to learn, develop, and build a long-term career within the company.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager in the successful delivery of multi-million-pound fit-out and refurbishment projects.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications, ensuring designs are effectively delivered on site.
- Monitor project progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders throughout each stage of the project.
- Keep up to date with the latest industry technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with company quality standards, health and safety requirements, and project specifications.
Requirements
- Ideally, a background maintaining complex, high-value military equipment within the Armed Forces.
- Hands-on engineering experience with strong mechanical knowledge; HVAC experience would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate site teams effectively.
- An understanding of project budgets, cost control, and financial awareness.
- Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and compliance standards.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
